Rubbish Bin Collection
Residential household rubbish bins are collected early on Thursday mornings.
Commercial rubbish bins are collected early on Monday and Thursday mornings.
To ensure your bins are collected on rubbish day:
- Put your bin(s) out by 6am on the day of collection;
- If more than one bin is out, make sure there is at least half a metre between them;
- Check for overhead power lines, trees or other objects that may block the truck from accessing your bins;
- Make sure your bin is not overflowing and that the lid is properly closed;
- Make sure your bin is not too heavy
Morawa Refuse and Transfer Station
All visitors must report to site office upon arrival. The refuse site has separate disposal allocations for different waste products. Please follow the signage to the appropriate allocated position for your waste.

The Drum Muster is now located at the refuse site and all drums will be inspected prior to acceptance.
All household rubbish must be separated and all green waste must be clean and free of rubbish.
Waste Oil Facilities
Waste oils can be disposed of at the Shire of Morawa Depot.

Bulk Rubbish / Verge Side Collection
Bulk Rubbish / Verge Side Collections are coordinated annually to assist residents in the disposal of large items, which cannot otherwise be transported to the refuse site. Generally the Shire of Morawa conducts one Bulk Rubbish / Verge Side Collection per annum. Dates for the verge collection will be advertised close to the time.
